right now, there's a "wind warning" where i live. i didn't even know there was such a thing. nevertheless, the nws site bears this scary all-caps message: HIGH WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE OVER MUCH OF NORTHERN OHIO AND NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA TONIGHT DEEP LOW PRESSURE JUST TO THE EAST OF LAKE SUPERIOR WILL MAINTAIN STRONG AND GUSTY SOUTHWEST WINDS OVER NORTHERN OHIO AND NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA THROUGH THE NIGHT TONIGHT. WINDS SHOULD BECOME A LITTLE MORE WESTERLY LATE TONIGHT. LOOSE ITEMS SHOULD BE MOVED INDOORS OR SECURELY FASTENED DOWN TO AVOID THEM BEING DAMAGED OR DAMAGING OTHER PROPERTY. i especially like the part about fastening down loose items.
