, by Tom Perrotta. I think this is a pretty good book. Perrotta's pretty much steadily broadened his literary ambitions over the course of his novelistic career, but his skills with characterization, and his comic timing, remain intact. After the success of Little Children
, I figure it's a safe bet that someone bought the film rights. If you want to read it without picturing Reese Witherspoon or Kate Winslet in the major roles, you'd better hurry.
